    Beverly Weinstein founded Markham Media over a decade ago after a successful career in media marketing and sales. She brings more than three decades of experience to the table, making her acutely in tune with the changing industry and the challenges of finding and hiring a candidate with the perfect combination of skills and experiences for each unique position. Her depth of knowledge and extensive network of contacts across the media landscape have allowed Markham Media to consistently identify top notch candidates for positions in traditional and digital media.

    Prior to founding Markham Media, Beverly held senior roles in advertising sales and media. She has experience launching start-ups, as well as working for well established media brands. In the early 1980’s, she was the first Director of Sales for MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon. She also worked as an account executive for CBS Television Network. On the media marketing side, Beverly served as Senior Vice President of media services at iconic movie studio Orion Pictures. Orion was home to a list of talented directors including Woody Allen and Jonathan Demme. Beverly directed media marketing campaigns for over 50 major motion pictures including Academy Award winners Dances with Wolves and Silence of the Lambs. She also worked for Whittle Communications as a Vice President of Sales. Whittle Communication was an out of home media company. She has done consulting projects for PBS stations and was retained to work on the ad sales launch of The WB Network. Beverly began her career in advertising sales at Woman’s Day Magazine after graduating from NYU.

    Beverly has been quoted in industry trades as well as in Vanity Fair and the Wall Street Journal. She is currently putting her expertise to use in her career advice column – “Dear Bev” – which is featured regularly on MediaDailyNews.com, a MediaPost website.

    She proudly serves on the board of directors of Young Audiences, a not for profit organization delivering arts education to over 200,000 New York City school children. She was also a past member of the NYU Alumni Board of the College of Arts & Science.

  • Elyssa Goodman

    Director of Social Media and Talent Research

    Elyssa Goodman is the Director of Social Media and Talent Research at Markham Media. She expands the firm’s online presence in the growing social media stratosphere, managing the Dear Bev blog, Twitter and Facebook applications. Miss Goodman is also Markham Media’s lead staffwriter, document designer and photographer.

    Miss Goodman studied Professional Writing, Creative Writing and Photography at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with University Honors. In her spare time, she is a freelance writer, photographer and jane of all trades. Her writing has been published in a number of publications in the U.S. and Canada.
